DeepSight Technology Inc. is actively searching for a GPU Software Engineer to apply to join our amazing medical imaging team full-time in our St. Louis, MO or Santa Clara, CA office!

We are an innovative medical imaging company that invests in our team and offers real opportunities for career growth. This GPU Software Engineer position works 2-3 days per week at one of our US offices in the St. Louis or San Francisco Bay areas and earns a competitive salary of $60,000-$166,000 a year, based on skills, experience, and office location. As our GPU Software Engineer, you take pride in your role in developing a fast, efficient data flow and algorithms for our advanced ultrasound systems. Being a team player, you enjoy working with our transducer, hardware, and systems teams as you work to optimize our system prototype and product designs. You utilize your robust knowledge and skillset to assist in developing the software architecture and efficient fast algorithms of our next-generation, high-quality medical imaging systems. Additionally, you utilize C/C++ and CUDA to design our imaging pipeline and implement its components.   • Implement complex algorithms from concept or prototypes
  • Improve speed and efficiency of image reconstruction algorithms
  • Work collaboratively with image reconstruction algorithm researchers
  • Maintain detailed design documentation

Education and Experience Minimum Requirements:

  • BS in an engineering or computer science field
  • 5 or more years of experience in commercial software development
  • Experience in concurrent/parallel programming-multithreading, multiprocessing, GPU acceleration (CUDA, CuPy, Numba, OpenCL)
  • Passionate about medical devices, with excellent communication and teamwork skills

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of digital signal processing , image processing, or image reconstruction
  • Proficiency with C++ programming and multi-threaded applications
  • Knowledge in medical imaging (Ultrasound, PET, SPECT, CT, MR, etc.) and developing software in the medical industry (FDA regulated)
  • Expertise in ultrasound physics, signal and image processing, beamforming, transducer optimization, simulation, algorithm development, or tool development
